ENGAGEMENT:TRAINING:PROGRESSION

Ruth Antoine, 22, began volunteering on RollingSound’s The Lab in summer 2009. She worked alongside our tutors to deliver accredited multimedia courses to hundreds of young people in Lewisham. Throughout her time on The Lab, Ruth received support in her development from RollingSound’s IAG Advisor. She is now living her dream and working in the film industry!

Following her work with RollingSound, Ruth then participated in a project with First Light which helps young people from all backgrounds to develop their skills, talent, creativity, confidence and entrepreneurial skills. She recently won the Second Light New Talent Award, sponsored by EON Porudctions at this year’s First Light Awards.

As a result of being a Second Light trainee, Ruth had the opportunity to undertake work experience at Framestore, the largest visual effects and computer animation studio in Europe, which has been involved in award winning movies such as Avatar, Children of Men & the Harry Potter films.

Ruth is currently working as a production runner on the new film Gravity starring George Clooney!
